“Food for Fines!” Donate Food to pay off library fines
This program runs: Monday, April 15, 2013 – Saturday, April 20, 2013
Circulation Services Department
What is “Food for Fines!”?
During National Library Week, Morrisson-Reeves Library will accept food for fines owed. One dollar will be credited toward library fines for each item donated.
What food items are acceptable?
The library requests non-perishable, unopened, non-expired food items. No glass containers, dented cans, damaged cans, cans with bar codes that have been lined or scratched through, or home canned items.
When will food items be accepted?
Beginning Monday, April 15, 2013 and continuing through Saturday, April 20, 2013.
What will happen to the items I donate?
Items will be donated to the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office for local distribution.
I want to donate food for the food drive – but I don’t have a library fine.
Donations will gladly be accepted from citizens who do not have overdue fines, however, no credit will be given to cover possible future fines.
Payment for lost or damaged library materials will not be eligible for this program. Also, any fines already in collections will not be subject to redemption by the “Food for Fines” program.
For further details and a complete review of the Food for Fines Policy, please call the library or visit our website at www.MRLinfo.org.
Please call Sue King, Circulation Services Manager at Morrisson-Reeves Library at (765) 966-8291, Ext. 116 if you have any questions or if you need additional information.
