Opening Market Day for the Richmond Winter Farmers’ Market

Cope Environmental Center is proud to be a sponsor for the Richmond Winter Farmers’ Market! The first market day of the season is Saturday, December 8^th. Come and shop for homegrown and handmade foodstuffs and handcrafts made locally in the Whitewater Valley. To top it all off, the hula hoop troupe ImageInMotion will provide live entertainment! The market will be open from 10AM to 2PM in the Townsend Community Center auditorium. EBT and SNAP benefits accepted.

Twenty years ago, Jim and Helen Cope partnered with their friend, Francis Parks, to found the Cope Environmental Center. Despite many changes over the years, their mission then remains CEC’s mission today: to promote the sustainable use of the earth’s resources through education, demonstration and research. CEC works with children, school groups, communities, businesses and individuals teaching environmental stewardship and sustainability.
